Bangladesh charity donation

Atiqur Sumon understands only too well the struggle of those living in poverty. Born in a rural, undeveloped area of Bangladesh poverty, in the Gaibandha district, he witnessed the daily difficulty of finding enough food to live on, occasionally supplemented by aid charities.

In an area where there is very little industry for employment, the only source of income is from the land. For many, living within a densely populated community, land is unavailable. Poverty in Bangladesh, especially in rural communities, with a shortage of clothing and food is the result. Food charities have been set up to help where possible. Education in Bangladesh is also needed.

As a young teenager, Atiqur knew exactly what he must do to help. He was fifteen years old and had seen enough to know he had a deeply personal mission to fulfil. He became determined to reach his full potential and shine in his life. In this way he could help these people to improve their lives. Since that time, his main goal has been directed to this cause.

As he reached college age, he went to the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, to study at college. After completion of his college course, with a diploma in graphic design, he settled in the UK where he completed his higher education, graduating from the University of Greenwich with a BA (hons) in computing.

True to his early ambitions, he never forgot those he left behind, hungry and lacking in clothes, in Gaibandha. His lifelong dream to help these people had now begun; no matter how much hard work it would take, he wasn’t going to give up.

Further inspired by his late uncle, Atiqur’s goal was to achieve his dream of building a successful company whilst at the same time helping those living in poverty in Bangladesh.

He has dedicated himself to this with both professionalism and passion, and succeeded. His monthly donations have increased from $100 to $2400. He now employs a specialist team of volunteers who take care of the funds, ensuring the money reaches the right people. To this effect Clipping Path India has helped people with house repairs or building works. The company has donated cloth, food, cash and vehicles which have enabled people to receive medical help and make an independent living.

In addition, when staff are employed at CPI, job offers are first given to those from the rural areas of Gaibandha in Bangladesh. They are trained, given proper instruction and are now performing their jobs well, under guidance and leadership from the team at CPI.

Atiqur’s unwavering passion has motivated his entire team of staff at CPI to participate in his dream. Plans are in place to further increase the monthly donations to cover more areas of poverty within Bangladesh.

His late uncle, Dr. R K Molla, would be so very proud of his achievements.
