Format and layer options

In the option field different options are available to choose from based on the Format selected.

JPG format:

JPG does not allow transparency nor layers, so you can choose any one from the following 2 options:

Turn background into white: simple, remove existing background and replace with a pure white. Most selected option!

Don't remove background: select this option if you want us just to draw a clipping path, or any other service like retouching, enhancement etc. but do not want the background to be removed. As an example out of many, you may select this option if your goal is to place the images into InDesign with background taken off, if that is the case then select this option and in the "Do you need path" field select "Yes, clipping path as active".

PSD or TIFF format:

You can choose any one from the following options or write your own if you have something else in mind:

Turn background into white; single layer: simple, replace existing background with a pure white on the single flattened layer.

Turn background into white; multiple layers: select this option if you want to leave the original layer intact and on a copy layer turn background into white. We will remove background on a copy layer and leave a white layer under neath.

Leave transparent background, single layer: select this option if you want the product to be on transparent background on a single layer.

Leave transparent background, multiple layers: we will leave the original layer intact, and on a second layer product with background removed.

Leave each object on separate layer: if there are multiple items on an image and you want each of the items on separate layer, then this is the option you will select.

Add layer mask; single layer: when we add a layer mask to the selected area, the reverse selection becomes transparent. The good thing with this option is that, you can always delete the layer mask and you get the original image/layer back, you can also select the masked area by clicking on the layer mask thumbnail holding the control/command key. This is a favourite option amongst many people, especially for images with hair, fur etc.

Add layer mask; multiple layer: same as above, but adding layer mask on a second layer, leaving the original background layer intact.

Save selection as channel (alpha channel): if you select this option, we will first select the product, (using either clipping path or masking) then save selection as channel (alpha channel). Using this option we both can save a lot of time and space, because it makes the file size/weight very small, so our upload and your download becomes very quicker. We can further reduce the file size a lot by deleting the other channels if you want letting us know in the instruction area.
