Yes, leave path as inactive: Selecting this option will mean that you want us to leave path but clipping path not applied.

No: Your goal maybe that you want the background turned into white but no matter how we do it, so select this option. We will then use the fastest, easiest and best method to remove background. We may still draw path if necessary and leave them in the file. You should also select this option if you need other services like retouching, manipulation etc where drawing path is not necessary.
